Mothers Day

Here is my mothers day gift that I knocked up in half an hour, materials used was simply ink and a fine liner pen to draw the stalks. Just using the idea of flowers which was bluebells to begin with then started to look like tulips towards the end.

My mum loved it! I didnt want her to open the present!!

Whilst I have been working for the man to pay rent I have been going to the designers Non-Conform and helping/learning after graduating from uni, here are some projects and ideas I have helped with.


Look After Your Garden
this was an idea I came up with for tenants to look after their garden, its a work in progress at the moment.

CEL Foundations

Ideas for the logo of an add on company from CEL group, based around nature.

Generate/ Blueprint KHT- Housing agency
This was my input for the design of the logo and identity for the company.

Uni Work

Cinema Redux- Virgin Suicide Information Poster

For this project I had to document information from the film into a poster, in my case I monitored the girls life throughout the film. Each organic plant/tree image gives an indication of what they died off and how long their life was throughout the film.














XL Records CD Sample
This was a design I had for XL Recordings, I researched the artists and the style of their music to come up with this quirky design for the sampler.
The CD's are based on the record label's name XL and I initially thought of a size and underpants sprung to mind! I will do another set but will make them look more realistic possibly white and using stains......

Beg Borrow and Steal - Exhibition poster

I thought of the idea of a beggar for the first part of the poster, I drew the word 'beg' onto a piece of cardboard in helvetica font and took a picture then added it onto the poster. The second word 'borrow' was made up of the helvetica family but mixed between light and bold to incorporate borrow. The third word was 'steal' here I stole some of the letter.

Blogger- 6 Degrees Of Separation

This was a magazine about how I went from the first website Non-Format to Big Active. I focused on colour, type and layout, my design is quite simple, using simple type but I like using colour in my work which I blended in with the magazine. This is one of my favorite pieces of layout work.

Hate Book
This was a project originally called 'Angry Book' after collecting various lists from people about their things that made them angry I thought it would be more appropriate calling my project 'Hate Book' as there are allot of hate's and dislike's. I included all spelling mistakes which just make the lists so interesting and funny to read. I also have some illustrations in the book which I drew myself.




























National Wildlife Centre

This was a re-design for the Wildlife Centre in Liverpool, I wanted to keep it quite simple and delicate with natural colours and soft type, Also I made letterhead and business cards for the company.

















Peacock Logo Design

This was a design for an imaginary Indian resturant, I made the logo, Business cards and letterhead.

Poster Design
This was a poster design for a Christmas party, I wanted to use really tacky Christmas paper for a laugh. I think it looks quite retro.























Asprey Jeweler's Design Report

I was asked to design the layout for a design report for an interior design student at Manchester Met University, the student has had their project chosen for a show based in London and has had the report saved to show other students the best way to present their work.
I really enjoyed this project and was made up to hear the university would be keeping my design and layout work as an example to others!! :-)

First freelance work for Albert Dock Liverpool

My First Little Job!!! :-)

I have been lucky enough to help with the design of a character for an event on the Albert Dock, Liverpool on the 11th july 2009!
His name is EGWOR and he will be made into a model and you may see him swimming around on the dock!
This is going to be an amazing day and will have a treasure hunt for the kids with pirates and lots of fun!! hope you can make it and I will be putting all the pics up of my monster in real form! yey!!
